Profile of Intrinsic Motivation
The Profile of Intrinsic Motivation is a 24-item survey that assesses the four elements of intrinsic motivation describe in Kenneth Thomas' book Intrinsic Motivation in the Workplace.  According to Thomas, the greatest predictors of employees who are self-motivated are a sense of meaning in their work, the choice about how to do their work, a sense of progress towards shared goals and a sense of their own personal competence. The survey contains normative charts based on nearly 400 responses.
